Headquartered in Manitoba since 1984, Proactive Information Services Inc. assists

clients in the public and non-profit sectors in meeting their social research and program

evaluation needs. We are committed to respectfully listening, learning and collaborating

as active participants in truth and reconciliation.

One thing common to all our clients is their desire to "make a difference." In Canada, we

have worked with people in newcomer communities, rural, urban and Northern

communities, Indigenous communities and organizations, governments and community

agencies and on many projects supporting vulnerable, minoritized and/or disenfranchised

populations. Internationally, we have worked on projects in numerous countries in

Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, as well as in Argentina, Lithuania, and

Mongolia.

At Proactive, we believe that well designed processes can provide information for learning

and decision-making at multi-levels. Information must be useful and accessible to a

variety of audiences. We believe evaluation must be culturally responsive, authentic,

environmentally and socially responsive, ethically sound, inclusive, insurgent, and

constructivist in approach. If we are to support reconciliation and address the crucial

social, environmental, and economic issues that we face in today’s world, we are

compelled to expand our future to one that is inclusive in terms of both voices and

approaches.
